I would like to THANK YOU ALL who came out in support of THAT BAND Benefit for Hurricane Sandy Relief for HIGHLANDS NJ.What a GREAt time with so many friends old and new and such an incredible day of Rock and Roll! We appreciate the showing of support for the GREAT town of Highlands and hope our small contribution will help some folks get thier lives back together and also help return Highlands to its former glory after the devistation of Hurricane Sandy. The heart of a town is its people and yesterday Highlands showed its heart is still beating STRONG!
So many people to thank for thier unselfish giving and support First and Foremost Id like to thank the Highlands VFW Post 6902 for hosting this event and allowing us complete freedom of its facilities to put on a show of this kind. I would especially like to thank VFW member Tip O'Niell for all his help and support (Not to mention his gourmet cooking talents!) I would also like to thank NorEaster House Lifters for thier generous donationoffood along with the many people who made dishes for this event..Thank YOU! I would also like to send a SPECIAL thank you to someone who clearly understands the concept of unselfish generosity and that is Leo of Chilangos Highlands for his generous donation of food and his grill. Even as he is working to reopen his restarant damaged by Sandy he reached out to help...talk about "Pay it Forward" I ask that you please support Chilangos when it reopens, I know That BAND wil!!
We would like to send a big THANK YOU members of the Highlands VFW Post 6902, Highlands American Legion 143 and Leonardo American Legion Post 338 for all your incredible support and hard work. As I said from stage, Events like this dont just happen its takes alot of effort and hard work from volunteers like you all, from the guys working the door, the Beer Girls (who generously donated thier tips back to the benefit) The Bartenders inside, all the people who donated, cooked and served food and the 50/50 people Thank You so much, we couldnt have done it without you all! A HUGE THANK YOU to Carl Tinker West for donating the AWESOME stage Also a big thanks Terry Protsman for his hard work with the stage and behind the soundboard. Thanks to Sean Hanrahan and Suburban Aluminum for stage transportation. Thanks Glen Bentsen for video and equipment transportation.
A special THANK YOU to all the bands who gave thier time and talents to help make this event a sucess. You Guys (and Gals) ALL ROCKED and I am forever in your debt for helping us out.
