Throw Back Memorial Day Post 

HI friends! Well, Memorial Day Wknd is upon us, The unofficial start of Summer along the Jersey Shore. I can't help but smile as I see all the posts about people trying to get home and everyone dreading the massive traffic jams along the shore....I wrote this song some years back (recorded with my brothers of That Band) when I was working up in North Jersey (Clifton to be precise) and was trying to get home early from work to meet my girlfriend (at the time) at what was once a Jersey Shore landmark and now a sorely missed Bar and Restaurant called "The Seagulls Nest" which was located out on Sandy Hook. 
Its the story of the trials and tribulations of a man trying to fight the Jersey Shore beach traffic on the Garden State Pkwy. Well the girl is gone 🙁 and so is the Seagulls nest (a victim of Hurricane Sandy sadly...the restaurant, not the girl 🙂 but the memories still remain of that magical time on The Jersey Shore when summer is young and the romantic possibilities are endless....I hope you enjoy it!
